Here is our selection of the 9 must-see beaches within a 30 km radius.
- Roccella Jonica Beach
Roccella Jonica’s main beach stretches for over 3 km with fine gold-colored sand. The waters are shallow for the first few meters, making it ideal for families with children. On the seafront you’ll find beaches equipped with umbrellas, sun loungers, bars, and shower facilities, but there are also large stretches of open beach. In the evening the seafront comes alive with bars and restaurants.
2. Monasterace Marina Beach
This beach is unique in Italy: bathing the Ionicocrystalline waters, there are the remains of ancient Kaulon, a Greek colony from the 7th century BC. The finds can be seen directly on the shore and in the National Museum of Monasterace a few steps from the beach. An extraordinary mix of archaeology and seaside relaxation.
